Most disordered eating is not about food. Complex systems of self-regulation and emotional management develop as a response to feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, low self-worth, fear, trauma, and other mental/psychological illnesses. Food might be the battleground, but the true conflict is internal.
SBC embodies this empathetic witness. SBC Coaches have been where our clients find themselves, offering individuals struggling with disordered eating and their loved ones an environment of empathetic, non-judgmental acceptance and respect.
SBC LifeTeams and clients work within this space to identify and define their own individual recovery mileposts utilising a range of modalities including DBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Meal Support/Coaching, Family-Led Therapy, and others.
