Director of Program Development
The belief that inside every person is a healthy, vibrant self drives Mia’s commitment to guiding people toward their inner truth. Through a unique mix of lived experience, scientific expertise, and artistic flair, Mia develops, implements, and oversees data-informed programming at the SBC Community For Spiritual Growth. As Director of Program Development, Mia designs programming to nourish the whole person from the dimensions of mind, body, and spirit. Mia creates impactful and effective offerings with measurable results by utilizing skills learned as a neuroscience researcher.
Curiosity, compassion, and connection inform Mia’s work in the spaces she creates for the SBC Community. Mia seeks to serve the community with diverse offerings – from courses on the science behind meditation to heart-opening practices. To further foster connection among community members, Mia crafts each session to include time for sharing one’s own experience and hearing and holding others’ experiences in turn.
Mia studied neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University and has received training in DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Mia will be attending Stony Brook University for a Masters in Social Work in Autumn 2022.
